What We Do

A professional review, not just a report.

CPAs with construction experience critically reviewing your numbers, adding context through management interviews, and delivering recommendations you can act on.

Management Interviews

We go beyond the spreadsheet. We sit down with your project team to understand the story behind unexpected variances and add real-world context to the analysis.

Pricing, Cost & Cash Flow Optimization

We help you optimize across the board — evaluating your pricing strategy, identifying cost leakage, and improving cash flow timing for stronger margins on every build.

Actionable Recommendations

Every report includes clear, practical takeaways you can implement immediately — not vague advice, but specific process changes to protect your profitability.

Sample Insight

See what a Capstone Report uncovers

Here’s an example of the kind of finding we surface — the details that get buried in spreadsheets but cost you real money.

Project
Riverside Custom Home
Total Budget$1.24M
Key Finding

$47,000 in untracked allowances identified across 3 trade categories (electrical, plumbing fixtures, and interior finishes). These costs were absorbed into general line items rather than tracked against allowance budgets, masking true overruns.

Recommendation

Implement an allowance tracking checkpoint at the 60% completion milestone. Require trade-specific allowance reconciliation before releasing the next draw — preventing cost bleed from going unnoticed until project close.

Illustrative example based on typical project analysis findings.

Not the Best Fit
  • You already have a full internal accounting or project controls team
  • You’re looking for basic cost tracking or bookkeeping
  • You need real-time project monitoring rather than post-completion analysis

FAQ

Common questions

Everything you need to know before getting started.

We work with whatever you have — typically your project budget, actual cost records, and draw schedules. These can come from spreadsheets, construction management software exports, or accounting tools. We handle the cleanup and normalization, so you don’t need to format anything special before sending it over.
Most single-project reports are delivered within 7–10 business days of receiving your data. This includes time for our clarification rounds. Bulk reviews may take longer depending on the number of projects. We’ll confirm a timeline during your intro call.
Absolutely. We treat all project data as confidential. Files are transferred securely, stored with encryption, and never shared with third parties. We’re happy to sign an NDA before you send anything over if that gives you added peace of mind.
We’ve worked with data exports from all the major construction management platforms — Buildertrend, CoConstruct, Procore, and more. If your tool can export a budget or cost report, we can work with it. During the intro call, we’ll walk through exactly what to export.
Yes. If it’s helpful, we can coordinate directly with your accountant or bookkeeper during the clarification phase to ensure we have accurate data. We can also share the final report with them if you’d like their input on implementing recommendations.
